Printing, Mounting, and Packaging

We use only the best materials and processes to produce quality Giclée fine art prints, so you can enjoy them for many years. All our prints come mounted and packaged, ready to be framed or given as a gift.

Printing

We print each photo using a professional Canon Pixma ten-ink inkjet printer, using LUCIA pigment inks. These high quality inks have a colour fastness rating of 75 years for colour and 200 years for black and white inks, when kept in a glass frame.

Our paper of choice is Canson Infinity Lustre. The paper is museum-quality without any optical brighteners which can degrade over time. The lustre coating is not quite matt, not quite glossy, providing the best of both worlds - good image contrast without excess glare.

Mounting

We hand mount our prints on archival acid-free mount board to further ensure longevity. The mount board is a light off-white to maximise the number of frame colours that can be used.

Prints are mounted with acid-free tape using two crossed hinges. This method allows the print and mount to expand and contract with varying temperature and humidity without causing the print to ripple. It also makes removing the print from the mount relatively easy if a different mount colour or size is desired.

Signing

All prints are signed and dated on the back.

Finishing

Finally, we place the print in a cellopane wrapping along with a backing board to keep the print safe and to prevent it from bending.
